Week 8 Day 1

The Mister took pictures so we can all see the updates!  Now to cross our fingers that pictures taken with an iPad, then emailed to Gmail, then saved to OneDrive (do you see how I am an equal opportunity user....IT nerds out there will get this) will post to this here little corner of the interweb.

The top cabinet over the command center has been completed.  I took the doors for the top cabinet to a glass shop the other day to have the glass installed.  We decided to only do glass cabinet doors in one area of the kitchen.  Since this space will function differently than the rest of the space, it seemed fitting to allow for an area to showcase something pretty behind the glass.
Cabinets to the right of the new window are now in place.  And if you open the doors....
...you see the beginnings of where some adjustable spice racks will hang in this space to pump up our storage abilities.  It was fun last night to ask The Mister if he had opened these doors (he hadn't) and then he rushed downstairs (as fast as someone with a bum knee can) to open them and see what was in place.  Voila!  We have a picture of the base supports.
A wide angle shot of the kichen shows that the pantry cabinet has been put in place.  As of Monday evening, there were 5 more cabinets to be installed.  Plus a fun "add-on" between the newest wall cabinet and the refrigerator that will be fun to reveal in the next week or so.
