Broom closets, countertops, and storage oh my!
The broom/stepstool "closet" is now in place. It's the 12" cabinet to the right of the pantry. The two cabinets above the pantry and broom closet are now in place as well. So excited for all of these nooks and crannies to place items of various sizes, shapes, and purposes. I think seeing all the cabinets go into place has added to my unrest and giddiness to get back into this space and make it our own.
A close up of the upper cabinets over the pantry area. The long level in this shot is cool because it ensures the cabinets on top are level all the way around the kitchen.
The living room built-in cabinet has a top. We decided to go with cabinet tops that match the doors in the living room rather than using any type of granite or composite material . It is so amazing how much warmer this space looks with these built-ins in place rather than the deep recessed spaces we previously looked at when in this area of the house.
I think it's time for me to do another collage. Look at all the changes. I cannot believe some days how quickly it feels we have gotten to this place in the progress, yet it also seems like forever until it will be done.
